Organic coconut products

Our organic food business started with exporting organic coconut milk. Therefore coconut products have been playing a key role in our company. Although the coconut-related industry is significant not only in Thailand but southeastern Asia, it has been influenced negatively by modernization which tends to improve efficiency excessively. On the contrary, we are developing new products based on organic coconut which is in the opposite end of “efficiency”.

Organic coconut milk

Coconut milk is white liquid that is extracted from endosperm of coconuts. It means that this milk is food of plant origin not from animals. It is rich in fat and nutritious, therefore indispensable for dishes in tropical area in the world. It is usually used with the aim of making rich flavor like cow milk and cheese to European dish and Dashi to Japanese.

Currently coconut milk is classified into three groups, coconut milk, coconut cream and light coconut milk depending on its fat content. Naturally, the fatter, the more thick it tastes and the price of it becomes more expensive since it is made and adjusted by adding water. Although there are a lot of recipes using coconut milk, it is not suitable for just drink since it contains so much fat. However, it is good choice adding water and yogurt as coconut milk-drink or mixing with juice and ice for coconut milk-smoothie.

Since you can use it instead of cow milk, it comes to be very good substitute for people who dislike animal products and have allergies.

Organic coconut milk (fat 17-19%)
Ordinarily, this type is called ‘coconut milk’ and sold the best all over the world. This is good and easy to use for Thai dishes and sweets.
Organic coconut cream (fat 20-22%)
We recommend this to rich and thick food lovers especially.
Organic light coconut milk (fat 5-7%)
Mostly this is coconut milk diluted with water and so on and good for cooking dishes such as soup. Due to distribution cost reason, it is not sold in retail stores so much.

Remark: Our coconut milk products are not some coconut milk-drink which is processed for beverage use but pure coconut milk for cooking.

Organic coconut virgin coconut oil

Our virgin coconut oil made with cold pressed, contains more than 60% of medium chain fatty acid. There are many methods to produce coconut oil, though we call the oil made with cold pressed way ‘virgin’. Please note that some of coconut oil say it is virgin since it is just only cold pressed even if the copra, which is the material of oil, are dried using stove before pressing. We adopt centrifuge process which enable us to get pure, less contamination, transparent and without smoky flavor oil. Incidentally, it is possible to press by a few times to obtain oil. However our oil is made from first pressed oil only and called ‘extra’ virgin coconut oil. Our coconut oil has been loved by many people all over the world.

MCT(Medium Chain Triglyceride)oil

MCT stands for Medium Chain Triglyceride. It is refined oil which includes capric acid and caprylic acid mainly. The demand for this oil should increase since you can take medium chain triglyceride which is said to be helpful to formulate keton bodies with this oil easily. However this is not organic oil as it is refined.

Remarkably it doesn’t have set even at low temperature since it contains only medium chain triglyceride. However, on the other hand it gets damaged by high-temperature. In addition, it is almost tasteless and odorless, we recommend you to put it on salad or pour in a cup of coffee. MCT oil can be made from both of coconut and palm and there isn’t any difference. Since we have grown coconut for our product coconut oil, we use this to manufacture this unique oil.

Organic coconut water

Organic coconut water is in the organic coconut. As coconut pulp grow using its nutritious water inside, it is impossible to get fresh coconut water anymore after the nut becomes matured. Furthermore, if you harvest coconut water more, you can get less coconut milk and oil. Coconut water can be called 100% natural isotonic drink since it contains a lot of nutrition. It must be the best drink after exercising and sweating.

Organic coconut sugar

Did you know GI value? It stands for glycemic index and is a figure that indicates how the food you take is affecting your blood sugar level. The number, when you take glucose, it is rated as 100 and other food is compared with this figure. It is said that if this number of the food is low, it means blood sugar level in blood rises mildly and insulin secretion can be limited after eating it. Therefore, coconut sugar, whose GI is said ‘35’, may be helpful for people who are concerned about blood sugar level.

Organic coconut sugar is made from coconut nectar which is harvester from its flower. After gathering, it turns solid like stones soon. So before that it is required to be dried and pulverized immediately. Then, it becomes powder like ordinal sugar. It tastes like brown cane sugar and suitable for coffee, tea, sweets and any kind of dishes. In some countries, the consumption for cane sugar tends to decrease while the demand for artificial sweetness is going up. But we recommend this 100% natural and healthier coconut sugar instead of them.

You sometime may find a black crystal at the bottom of coffee cup after drinking coffee with coconut sugar, it is just burnt sugar which yield in the drying process and harmless.

Organic desiccated coconut

After extracting coconut oil or milk from pulp, it is crushed into pieces or flakes. This is desiccated coconut. It seems like bread crumb and is often used coconut biscuits and so on. Nowadays, not only used as an ingredient for sweets, it is also cooked instead of bread crumb. As you know, bread crumb is made of flour which contains gluten. On the other hand, desiccated coconut, which is gluten free, is used by people who seek gluten free food increasingly.

Organic coconut milk powder

Coconut milk powder is spray dried coconut milk. It somewhat looks like baby milk powder. Honestly, it is a little bit inferior to raw coconut milk in terms of taste, flavor and nutrition. But it is more convenient to carry and preserve. As ingredients for confections and processed foods, coconut milk power is substituted for coconut milk since it is cheaper and easy to adjust the taste.

Organic coconut flour

Coconut flour is produced after extracting coconut milk and oil from pulp and powdering it. This product is currently getting attention since this is also gluten free. Breads made of coconut flour are sold in western countries thesedays and it seems to secure a position as a substitution for flour there.

Did you know about coconuts ?

Is it said that there is no futility in coconuts. Incidentally, there are intricate and interact connection each coconut products. When coconut nectar is gathered, the flower (to be exact, inflorescence) is cut to make it easy day by day. After being cut, it doesn’t bear fruit anymore. Since coconut milk, oil and water is made of fruits, coconuts, it means you can’t produce them after choosing coconut sugar.

In addition, in most cases, coconut water is harvested from young and green coconut. At that time the pulps of nuts is not matured and grown enough to get coconut milk. On the other hand, coconut oil is the fat included in and made from the coconut milk. Then, if you get coconut milk, it leads to less fat coconut milk and if you choose coconut milk you can’t produce coconut oil anymore.

When it comes to coconuts as ingredient, you can’t manufacture sugar, oil, milk and water at the same time. It is interesting, isn’t it?
